Imagine sending your child off to school with no backpack or any other basic school supplies. This is the case for hundreds of families in the Valley who can’t afford the luxury of “back to school” shopping.
Back to school spending can add up. On average, American families spend over $600! This is an insurmountable amount for low income families. Luckily, there is something YOU can do about it!
Southwest Human Development is an amazing organization that is determined to make a difference in these children’s lives. This is their third consecutive year putting together a Back-To-School supply drive. Sun American Mortgage is teaming up with this great organization to give the community the opportunity to help children with their academic needs.
“We want to lessen the pressure on some family’s budgets through this school supply drive,” said Annette Sutfin of Southwest Human Development. “With the support of the community and our partners, we hope to collect enough school supplies to provide more than 500 families with what they need for their children to enter school ready to learn.”

1. Purchasing a brand new item/s from the list below.
2. Drop off item(s) at Sun American at the front desk. Our address is 4140 E Baseline Rd. #206 Mesa, AZ 85206. (Our hours are Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM)
3. Leave knowing you’ve made a difference in a family’s life for the rest of the school year! Our drive ends Tuesday AUGUST 25th.
